Maggie Hurd

Hi, I am Maggie and I am delighted to have the opportunity to volunteer my time to support the Fundraising arm of the Millie Wright Children’s Charity. I have known Millie and her family for many years and am Godmother to some of Millie’s cousins. What Ceri, Nige and the boys are doing is amazing and I am very proud to have been asked to support them.
I am currently a New Business & Account Manager for Wellbeing People. We specialise in providing wellbeing services to organisations around the UK and in Europe for their staff.
Prior to that I worked for the charity Education Support for over 10 years.
My background is working in staff health and wellbeing. I am a former qualified nurse with a passion for supporting all staff in the workplace to enable companies to be the best they can be.
I have a natural capacity to build and maintain relationships and will always go the extra mile. I am a consummate professional with excellent communication and presentation skills, which are easily adapted to suit my audience which will translate well to fundraising.
After Living for 16 years in London, I moved to York in 2004 where I have happily settled. I am reasonably fit enjoying walking the dog (Norman) and cycling in the Yorkshire countryside and going to the gym when time permits. I am a keen cricket fan and a new recruit to watching formula 1 thanks to my partner (who is also my Fiancé). I enjoy cooking and entertaining.
