I’m Claire and I’m thrilled to be the Parent Trustee for MWCC.
Our daughter, Rosie, was born with liver disease almost 15 years ago. Early in 2022 her liver started to fail and by July she became seriously ill and was admitted to Ward L50 in Leeds General Infirmary for specialist treatment whilst we waited for a suitable organ.
On 17th October 2022 Rosie underwent her transplant and continues to make a steady but very positive recovery.
We met Ceri and Nige during our four difficult months in LGI. Their energy, support and love helped us to feel stronger because we knew they understood.
Now that I’ve joined the charity, I can see the determination, hard work and drive that the whole team have, which makes this charity a force for good and I am so proud to be part of it - I know first-hand how much it counts! ❤️🦋❤️🦋
